Diseases and Surgery of the Eye
Based in Dayton, OH, Dr. Mihok is an ophthalmologist who is qualified to diagnose and treat all visual disorders. He sub-specializes in surgeries for cataracts and glaucoma as well as corneal transplants. He also conducts laser surgeries for glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and secondary cataracts.
Growing up in Youngstown, OH, Dr. Mihok graduated from Boardman High School in 1995 and continued his education at Westminster College, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1999.
During his undergraduate studies, Dr. Mihok was named a Wood Hayes National Scholar-Athlete and Burger King National Scholar-Athlete of the Week. He was a two-time Academic All-American, and he was awarded an NCAA post-graduate scholarship.
Dr. Mihok continued his education at Des Moines University, and he graduated eighth in his class in 2004. After finishing medical school, Dr. Mihok completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at Grandview Hospital at Ohio University, where he garnered the highest national score for two straight years in the Ophthalmic Knowledge Assessment Program (OKAP) examination.
